Rice ball specialist OMSB has completed construction and already stocked the fridges full of beverages as it anticipates opening once the calendar gives way to spring. As first reported by Eater LA, the forthcoming Japanese restaurant is the brainchild of Hide Takeuchi – best known for operating well-regarded sushi & bento spot Sanuki No Sato in Torrance. Takeuchi’s newest concept will focus heavily on its namesake dish omusubi, which is constructed using rice, protein, and seaweed, and will be served with a side dish. Beyond food, OMSB will feature a matcha bar complete with 14 different flavors (including cream cheese and guava) of the popular drink.
