The Arts District’s Greenbar Distillery is working with The Burrito Project to aid the city’s less fortunate one burrito at a time. For each cocktail serving its CITY Bright gin sold at restaurants and bars in Los Angeles, Greenbar Distillery will donate one burrito to The Burrito Project with the hope of reaching 10,000 by the end of the spring. Many eateries and drinking establishments around Downtown LA are currently offering drinks made with CITY Bright gin including The Library Bar, Eat Drink Americano, Au Lac, and Redbird, among others.
“Too many fellow Angelenos are hungry,” says Melkon Khosrovian, co-founder and spiritsmaker at Greenbar Distillery. “We can’t look away.”
As the number of CITY Bright gin cocktails sold continues to rise, employees from Greenbar Distillery will be working with volunteers from The Burrito Project throughout the spring to make and distribute burritos across the city of Los Angeles. The Burrito Project was started by a group of friends who began gathering monthly to help feed those less fortunate in DTLA, Pasadena, and other underserved communities around the area. Founded in 2004, Greenbar Distillery was Dowtown LA’s first since Prohibition and boasts the world’s largest portfolio of organic spirits.
