Izakaya & Raw Bar Remains On Track For Late March Arrival At The Bloc

Downtown LA’s The Bloc will soon add a new dining option to the mix as HATCH Yakitori + Bar makes final preparations prior to its planned late March opening. HATCH’s menu will put a heavy emphasis on skewers of Japanese-style grilled meats and vegetables along with traditional raw bar fare including oysters. The entire operation is the brainchild of chef Daniel Shemtob, most notably the winner of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Race as well as the proprietor behind TLT Food, who has brought on a sake sommelier to help guests with drink selections. Once online, HATCH will serve patrons lunch and dinner six days a week with hours running from 11 a.m until 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday with a 1 a.m. closure Friday and Saturday nights.
